Pellegrino was established in October 1st, 1941 by Mr. Dante Pellegrino, a commercial traveler with a great entrepreneur spirit, who was dedicated to the importation and commercialization of automotive parts in São Paulo.

In 1965 Pellegrino’s process of regionalization was initiated, and the first unit was inaugurated in Goiânia.

In 1972 the Dana Corporation acquires 40% of the capital

In 1977, its participation becomes integral, until November of 2004.

In 1984 Pellegrino acquires WIB Distribuidora Ltda, based in Curitiba, which integrates their business with ours.

In 1993 the Management by Excellence system was adopted, aiming for a cultural change in order to introduce the new concepts of total quality with focus on the customer.

In 1994 the company introduced the process of Strategic Planning and created Pellegrino Magazine, its means of communicating with customers and the community.

In 1996 it introduced electronic communication with its business representatives.

In 1998 it introduced electronic communication with its customers.

In 2000 it instituted the CRM (Customer Relations Management), leading to an improvement in customer service.

In 2002 it instituted the BSC (Balance Scorecard), improving the control and follow-up of the Strategic Planning.

On the 1st of December 2004, the Affinia Group acquires 100% of the capital.
